Build a team.
Module by module.

Thirty seconds. Tap or press Space to dock each engineer onto the team. Whatever overhangs leaves; a perfect dock grows the team back. It is the logo’s idea, played.

Techno Software Czech is a spin-off of an engineering consultancy with 500 experts in five countries. It places senior engineers, testers and DevOps specialists directly in client teams. It was a new company with a new name, so the site had to carry the weight of the network behind it. We built the brand and the site together, from the first sketch to the domain going live.

01The brief

One reader is a CTO in Germany or Italy who needs three engineers next month and has been burned by an agency before. The other is an engineer deciding whether to join. Both read English; the Czech market reads Czech. The company had no photographs, and stock pictures of handshakes would have made it look like every other agency.

02Every picture drawn by code

There is not one photograph on the site. The hero’s ribbed tube, the globe, the six industries and the contact map are scenes drawn by a small engine in three tones of the brand blue, through a 4×4 Bayer matrix — the pattern of an old printer. It runs in a background worker, so the page scrolls while the pattern moves: the hero went from 283 ms of the main thread per second to under one.

03One page grew into a site

It started as one page. Within days it had careers, insights with three articles, six service pages, six industry pages and a page on how engineers are chosen. Careers works as a talent pool: when there is no vacancy it says so plainly. A vacancy is one entry in a content file, and the build writes its page with the markup Google for Jobs reads.

The careers page: the talent pool and the profiles they look for
04Czech, generated and checked

The Czech pages are written from the finished English ones, through one dictionary. The build stops if a single string is missing or a tag does not match, so a new English paragraph can never ship half-translated. The fonts cover Czech letters, and the Czech pages load only the part of the font they need.

05Short on a phone

The owner’s first note was that the phone version felt long. It was: nineteen screens. Industries went two to a row, the engagement models became tabs, the process a two-by-two grid, the articles a list of titles. Eleven screens now, with nothing removed that a buyer needs.

06A game behind the footer

The logo is a team of modules with one that joins. Behind a button in the footer, that idea is a 30-second game: dock each engineer onto the team; whatever overhangs leaves it. It is above, ready to play.

07How it is built

Static pages written by a Python build from one source, so the header, footer and every page stay the same. Geist, self-hosted. The images draw on an OffscreenCanvas in a worker. Asset URLs carry a hash and are cached for a year; links are prefetched before the click, and pages cross-fade. Hosted on Vercel, with new pages announced to search engines through IndexNow. Lighthouse on a phone: 99 to 100 in all four categories.
